Ahoy!

Hailing from the Western Australian coastline Harry is an expedition photographer and educator, specialising in outdoor, wildlife, and underwater imagery. His work spans some of the world’s most remote regions, capturing authentic moments that connect people to place. Whether its amongst the ice, underwater, in a Zodiac, or knee-deep in mangroves, his work blurs the line between exploration and art.

Beyond the shot, he’s passionate about sharing that craft — helping others see the world with curiosity, patience, and wonder.

He also finds it strange talking about himself in the third person.

Testimonials

You can easily watch online videos to learn camera mechanics, but YouTube cannot teach you artistry. As someone keen to master a skill that truly matters to me, I found him to be the ideal teacher. Harry possesses a remarkable understanding and appreciation of light, composition, framing, and timing. He generously shared his expertise, showing me how to move from taking good photos to creating extraordinary ones. He is a wonderful instructor who genuinely cares about your progress. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Thank you for being our photo coach, especially with lots of different technical and interest levels. I learned a ton. I always struggled with improving photos from an artistic standpoint. And by the end I was seeing what you were seeing (or starting to). And that was super valuable. Plus I learned some great editing tips. And most importantly Kristen is now at a new level of interest for photography which makes it a less lopsided couples hobby. I used to just try to get wildlife photos period. Now I can be creative with them too which opens up a lot.

I recently had the opportunity to take part in Harry’s photo expedition workshop in Antarctica, and it was an incredible experience. From the outset, Harry made an effort to understand our starting point as photographers, our knowledge and comfort levels, and set us up to take the best pictures possible. He was a huge help with both technical guidance and finding opportunities. His lectures were engaging, his passion was clear, and the editing portion was especially valuable. Harry created an exceptional workshop and helped me really develop as a photographer.
